The idea of writing a refrigerator dream meanings’ post came about from a recent dream I had. However, let’s first look at one I had over thirty-five years ago.

First Dream

I was in the basement of my childhood home. I opened up the freezer side of the refrigerator, which was packed with food and ice. When I took out a package of food, I thought of my mom.

Interpretation

The meaning of this dream was crystal clear to me, even though I was a newbie at dream interpretation. Because I was working on my mother issues during this time, I knew the fridge represented my frozen feelings and childhood issues. It was time to look and clean out all this stored-up baggage. Whew! There was a ton of work to be done!

Second Dream

In the recent dream, my mother-in-law was cleaning out a small hidden compartment in the fridge. I felt annoyed with her since the refrigerator was clean. Although I never noticed this small area.

Interpretation

Decades later, I have worked through a large amount of my issues. There is still inner stuff to heal, as represented by the hidden compartment.

What was really amazing about this dream is how I realized my mother-in-law’s annoying behavior is assisting me to heal deeper layers of stuff. She is also teaching me to love unconditionally.
