We all got to go; hence, defecating will appear in our dreams. Even if it’s a natural part of life, there are some people who will feel uncomfortable about this post. However, dreams about poop are very common. The following quote from my book Learn the Secret Language of Dreams sums it up nicely:

Feelings In Dreams

After you defecated in a toilet, people walk into the bathroom looking at your poop and some are holding their noses.
- Embarrassment could mean you don’t want people to know about your issues or bodily functions.
- A sense of relief may indicate that you can stop hiding who you are and be yourself despite what others think.
- Anger might be a signal that you don’t want people to know about your dirty laundry.
- Feeling proud can be symbolic that you no longer care what people think about you.
Not Coming Clean
There are many types of poop dreams; however, a common one is no matter how much you wipe your butt with toilet paper, it’s not coming clean. Which can mean the following:
- You feel dirty about yourself.
- You have more issues to resolve that you may be denying.
- You need to stop being so rough on delicate problems.
- You have to stop trying to be perfect and accept the imperfect parts of yourself.
Overflowing Toilets
Another dream people have about poop is overflowing toilets that can be symbolic for:
- You’re not dealing with your problems.
- You take on others crap.
- You’re full of sh*t literally or symbolically.
- You’ve plumbing issues at your home.
Other People’s Poop
The last common dream that I will mention is when it’s other people’s poop. Which could be about:
- Your child finally went number two in the toilet.
- You allow others to crap all over you.
- You’re standing up to abuse from others.
- You’ve realize that it’s their poop and not yours.

I dreamt I was sitting on the toilet doing a pee pee when suddenly a man came in and tried to push me off the toilet so I held my ground then he just pooped next to me but some of his poop went on my foot? My feelings were mixed: firstly I felt empowered by standing my ground but then disgust when I looked at my foot! I’ve just commenced schema therapy for childhood trauma issues so this dream is very interesting as I usually do not recall my dreams! Thank You!

I dreamed of sitting in the toilet infront of few ladies i could not really recognize then there is no toilet paper. Then when people started to eat outside i was wiping infront of the ladies that was sitting with me, but there was no mess.
When i got home i found my boyfriend having wet the bed for the second time not even knowing that he had wet the bed what does all this mean

Weirdest dream I’ve ever had. Last night I dreamt that I thought I was pregnant so I laid down to show my mother and sister the huge bump on one side of my body and my mother says “that’s not a baby, that’s a full roll of toilet paper” End dream. The poop in my dream came from an old woman. I was at an old friends house and she had an aunt it grandma who is senile. She came around us naked and when she walked past us, I got the whiff of poop and realized she shat on my pant leg. The left one. I had to clean it up and take the clothes off. Not sure if this also counts but my friend went to grab me a towel and I saw her throw up all over the floor and it looked like more poop but with little marshmallows in it, which then caused me to throw up a little bit after watching her. My vomit looked just like hers. The weirdest and strange I’ve had so far.

I dreamt that my husband was literally picking his butt and sticking his fingers in my face telling me to smell it. And then took my blanket and wiped himself with it and threw it at me. I started yelling at him in the dream and awoke actually yelling at him saying “what does that have to do with anything?” Have no idea what this weird dream meant…maybe you do lol

I dreamed I was sitting in a place like an office then suddenly I realised I had pooed on myself and it came down on my lap behind. So I got up to go cleanup in a toilet but 3of my neighbour office saw it. I went into couple of toilets and it was either locked and one was a whole bathroom with a tub and shower and a man laying there so I couldn’t clean up though I was using my cloth to clean the feasible part. Then kids were playing with me and wouldn’t let me go clean up
