Do you feel anything when you are around minerals and meteorites, or sensitive to crystals? Or are you like my husband, who tells me it’s just a rock? For the sake of this blog post, I’m going to use the word crystal to describe all these so-called rocks.
Everyone has different reactions to crystals. Some people enjoy looking at them, while others mine and/or collect crystals, and many use them for their healing properties.
Whatever works for you as long as you find them enjoyable.
Those with Crystals Sensitivities
What do I mean by sensitivity? The following reactions could happen:
- The crystal feels hot, cold, or vibrates in your hand. Its energy may permeate throughout your body.
- Crystals can affect you emotionally with feelings of joy, sadness, or anger.
- A crystal may affect you physically, whether that’s being energized, spacey, or nauseated.
Stay away from a crystal that makes you feel sick or break out in hives, just like you would with food or anything else.
Crystals that make you feel emotional might help you work through buried issues. You can wear a piece of jewelry or hold the crystal while journaling, or in a session with a healer or therapist.
Some crystal experts suggest using grounding crystals like hematite or obsidian to help balance the energy. Allow your intuition to guide you with this.
Moldavite and Prophecy Stone
I’m very sensitive to the crystal moldavite, which came about millions of years ago from a meteorite. You can learn more about moldavite here at Perplexity AI. Merlin, my late cat, hated this crystal, would become angry and stay away from me whenever I wore it. Moldavite works well for me to meditate with at home as it brings me to a higher level.
A couple of years ago, my sister and I went to a gem and mineral show in Franklin, North Carolina, in the US. There was a table I felt drawn to, but I got so high from the moldavite that I couldn’t stay. On my third attempt, I could tolerate it. It turns out the vendor was from the area, but now lives in the Czech Republic, where much of moldavite is mined.
This was my favorite vendor from the show, and I bought a lot of jewelry from her, including a moldavite/opal pendant. I’ll wear the pendant when I’m doing dream interpretations and psychic readings by email.
Prophecy Stone
Recently, in a New Age shop in Baltimore, I discovered this rare iron-oxide mineral that’s usually from Egypt. You can learn more about prophecy stones at Perplexity AI. I just had to have it.
One morning, I put the prophecy stone in my jeans pocket and drove to the bank. I must have been in another zone because I almost forgot to move into the right lane. Then I missed the left lane to turn onto the road the bank was. At the next left lane light, I took the stone out of my pocket while the light was red because I didn’t want to be pulled over by a cop.
“But officer, I’m not high. It’s because I have a prophecy stone in my pocket.” Do you think he would believe me?
How about you? Does moldavite or prophecy stone affect you? Or are you like my husband, where it’s just a rock?
